Pardon My French (2012) was produced by Portland-based composer, arranger and pianist Ramsey Embick (Music Director for the Pointer Sisters plus hired gun for Michael Jackson, Gladys Knight and Ray Charles) and includes a French version of These Boots Are Made For Walkin’ plus an unplugged (vocals and ukulele) version of Pink Martini’s smash hit Sympathique. The 6-song EP also features Damian Erskine on bass (Peter Erskine, The Jaco Pastorius Big Band, Gino Vannelli), Reinhardt Melz on drums (Steve Miller, Buddy Guy, Delbert McClinton), Adrian P. Baxter on tenor sax and flute (Cherry Poppin Daddies) and Dustin Hunley on ukulele, background vocals and whistle (Bellagio & Paris Resorts + Carnival Cruise Liner MS Ecstasy.) 

 

French Remix (2009) is a delightfully quirky selection of acoustic French/English retro pop originals with driving percussion, upright bass, smokin’ sax solos and sultry vocals that transport you to an exotic island cafe in Morocco? Tangiers? Madagascar? Antibes? Co-produced with Paris-based musician and composer Jim Cuomo and recorded with stellar musicians in Portland (Jorge Zamarano, Al Criado, Graham Lear, Luis Opazo, Ramsey Embick, Cheryl Alex, Michael Gargano, Mike McGuirk, David Rolin, Jo Haemer, Price Luber, Daryl Williams, Eric John Kaiser and Bobby Torres) and also in Paris (Bruno Lasnier, Vincent Perrot and Serge Marne) the French Mix world premiere CD release party was held at historic Cafe de Cluny in the heart of the Latin Quarter in Paris. French Remix (2009) is a remix of the original version French Mix (1997).

 

Nuit et Jour (2002) is a charming collection of jazz standards and Cole Porter cabaret tunes sung in French and English. It was recorded at 2017 Grammy-nominated Randy Porter's Heavywood Studio with internationally acclaimed jazz pianist Tom Grant (Jim Pepper, Bill Cobham, Larry Coryell, Woody Shaw, Joe Henderson Charles Lloyd, Tony Williams and Patrick O’Hearn), bassist extraordinaire Dave Captein (Mose Allison, Richie Cole, Tal Farlow, Art Lande, Red Holloway, Ernestine Anderson, Jack Sheldon, Nu Shooz, Marlena Shaw, Frankie Avalon, Jeff Clayton, Paul McCandless, Larry Coryell, Andy Narell, Jerry Hahn, Dave Frishberg, Randy Brecker, Steve Million, Ron Miles, Rick Braun, Kenny Drew Jr., Jessica Williams, Joey De Francesco, Eric Alexander, Pete Christlieb, Gary Smulyan, Ron Eschete, Bud Shank, Ingrid Jensen, Jackie Naylor, Bobby Shew, Wynton Marsalis, Dick Hyman, Ken Peplowski, Steve Allen and Paul Smith, Bill Mays, Jeff Lorber, Benny Green) and drummer par excellence Graham Lear (Gino Vannelli, Santana, REO Speedwagon and Paul Anka); also includes special guest appearances by Seattle musicians Paul Elliot on violin and Nova Devonie on accordion. The sold out Nuit et Jour world premiere CD release party was held at The Fez Ballroom in the heart of downtown Portland, and was a benefit for international nonprofit Mercy Corps.
