Acclaimed Pacific Northwest vocalist and recording artist Carol Rossio performs swingin' blues, sultry jazz & groovy French retro pop – ooh la la! Carol’s live shows enchant listeners with her range and charisma. She's worked with fabulous instrumentalists in the US and France, and her three CD recordings showcase Carol's smooth vocal jazz styling… featuring quirky yet hip arrangements of familiar jazz standards, along with original pop tunes sung in French.

Carol opened for Grammy-winner Angélique Kidjo at the Aladdin Theatre and for Grammy-winner Poncho Sanchez, performing with The Tom Grant Band at The Taste of Beaverton. She's also performed with three Grammy-nominees (Giovanni Parra, Randy Porter & Patrick Lamb), recorded with smooth jazz pioneer Tom Grant, and appeared as special guest soloist with the internationally renowned Robbie Laws Band at Portland's Waterfront Blues Festival – her favorite 15 minutes of fame, performing live for over 5,000 enthusiastic blues fans!

In 2022, she traveled to New York City with members of Central Oregon Mastersingers to perform the Brahms Requiem at Carnegie Hall! Cross that one off the bucket list :-)

From 2017 to 2020, Carol performed monthly with The Carol Rossio Quintet at a hoppin' biker bar in Bend, OR called The Northside Bar and Grill. During those three years she developed a loyal following, and the place was always packed when they played on “Jazz Night."

And in 2018, Carol joined 800 choir singers to back GARTH BROOKS at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, OR, performing for over 60,000 enthusiastic fans!!! YEEHAH Y'ALL!

In addition to these amazing, surreal gigs, Carol has performed extensively throughout the PNW at weddings, wineries, nightclubs, resorts, and music festivals including The Bite, The Rose Festival, Art in the Pearl, North by Northwest, and Music at Pioneer Courthouse Square. Working with musician/producer Jim Cuomo, she manifested a magical opportunity to record with stellar French musicians, then headed back to Paris a year later to perform at her French (Re)Mix debut CD release party held at historic Cafe de Cluny on the Left Bank... sigh...

Carol's CDs are on Spotify and her tunes have been streamed in the US, Canada, Spain, the UK, Brazil, Chile, Egypt, Germany, and the Netherlands.

These Boots Are Made For Walkin' (French version) is Carol’s #1 download on i-Tunes, with sales in the US, Canada, France, Spain, Italy, Denmark, the UK, and Japan:

"Portlander Rossio has always had a preference for French lyrics, and she delivers them with ease and the skill of many years of experience. Nancy Sinatra had the hit, but Rossio puts Nancy in the dust on the unlikely choice, These Boots Are Made for Walkin' (in French!)"

— Jazz Society of Oregon Music Critic George Fendel

Her three CD recordings have received critical acclaim and frequent airplay on KOPB 91.5fm, KMHD 89.1fm, KBOO 90.7fm, and KPOV 88.9fm – plus glowing reviews in The Oregonian, Willamette Week, Jazzscene Magazine, Borders Books and Music News, The Portland Tribune, Positively Entertainment, Oregon Music News, The Bend Bulletin and The Source Weekly.

In addition to performing as a jazz/pop soloist, Carol adores singing with choirs, and has performed with many wonderful groups over the years – including Portland Symphonic Choir, Central Oregon Mastersingers, Cascade Chorale, Choral Arts Ensemble, Portland's Unitarian Church Choir, Back Bay Chorale, and Harvard Summer Chorus.

In 2024, Central Oregon Mastersingers will be traveling to Italy to perform at the Vatican! Andiamo!
